On 27th November POLITICO organised its second Agriculture and Food Summit in Paris.

CEMA once again participated to the event, as a supporting organisation and, this year, also as a panellist.

The event started off with an intense morning of debates, which were introduced by an intervention of Luis Planas, Spanish Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. Follow-up panels dealt with: the Economic Outlook of Agriculture in Europe, the future of CAP, an interesting comparison of different farming models, and future food trade policies on a global scale.

In the afternoon the participants split into two sets of interactive roundtables, one with a more specific focus on Food and one on Farming. The set up was such that it allowed for a freer exchange between the speakers and the rest of the participants.

CEMA’s Secretary General, Jerome Bandry, was a presenter in the roundtable session dedicated to Precision Farming, and shared the floor with Alberto D’Avino from DG AGRI and Max Schulman, chair of Copa Cogeca’s Cereals Working Party.
