On behalf of the AgroCycle project, CEMA has the pleasure to invite you to a week in China to attend conferences, discussions, workshops, networking, plant visits related to the Circular Economy.

 

With a budget of around €8 million, AgroCycle is a funded project under H2020 with the aim of addressing the recycling and valorisation of waste from the agri-food sector.

The 3-year large-scale project, lead by the University College of Dublin, involves 25 partners, including CEMA, from the EU, Hong Kong and Mainland China and is looking for innovative ttechnologies that will increase the sustainable use of agricultural waste (crop residues and livestock effluents), co-products and by-products.

The Agricultural waste and residue management for a circular bio-economy event will be held in China from the 22nd to the 26th of October 2018 and will bring together stakeholders from industries, research, public bodies, educators and policy-makers from China and Europe.

The programme of the event includes 2 days of plenary conferences in Beijing (22-23 October) and three days of workshops, brokerage meetings and on-the-field visits (24-25-26 October):

Monday, 22nd October

  • Circular Economy in EU and China: shared cooperation priorities, co-funding mechanisms, policies and implementation
  • Challenges and perspectives of upcycling agricultural wastes and residues into sustainable bio-products using eco-friendly technologies

Tuesday, 23rd October

  • Cooperation between China and EU: NoAW, AgroCycle and other projects
