Upcoming events:

- From the 21st to the 25th different EU cities host the Green Week, with the aim of presenting the EU initiatives for improving the EU citizens quality of life. The main meetings of the Green Week are held in Utrecht, Brussels and Madrid with specific sessions devoted to policy developments on air quality, noise, nature and biodiversity, waste and water management. - In the framework of the Green Week, EUBIA, one of CEMA partners in the AgroCycle project, organized the workshop “Greening the gas grid for sustainable cities & communities” on the 24th of May in Brussels. During the workshop, members of the EU institutions and representatives from the industry sector discussed the numerous advantages that green gas can bring to European communities and their contribution to reducing GHG emissions and promoting circular economy. - The Third meeting of the Working Group on Digital Innovation Hubs is held on the 25th of May in Brussels. The discussion will be focussed on networking among Digital Innovation Hubs, the role of Member States and regions, and the catalogue of Digital Innovation Hubs. This workshop is part of a series of events that take until the next High-level governance meeting with Commissioner Mariya Gabriel in autumn 2018. Previous events include:

Looking back & CEMA's participation

- The EIP-AGRI workshop “Enabling farmers for the digital age: the role of AKIS” took place on 26-27 April in Jurmala, Latvia. It was organised by the EIP-AGRI in cooperation with the Latvian Rural Advisory and Training Centre with the aim of exchanging experiences on how knowledge and innovation can support the digital transformation of agriculture. Spyros Fountas (Agricultural University of Athens) presented the Smart-AKIS project, whereas the agricultural machinery industry was represented by Mr. Vandecaveye (CNH Industrial) and Mr. Rolf (365 Farmnet). - On the 15th of May, the EURACTIV Network Office organized the Stakeholder Workshop “Making bioeconomy circular: How far can circular economy principles be applied to the bioeconomy?” to discuss around the new Circular Economy Package recently adopted by the European Commission and to examine the synergies between the bioeconomy and circular economy. For the AgroCycle project, EUBIA representatives participated at the workshop.
