Document: FAO-CEMA_MoU_Extension_-_all_signatures.pdf

On 2nd October 2018, CEMA and FAO, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, jointly decided to renew their partnership to promote sustainable mechanization of agriculture and signed a renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding agreed in 2015.

The renewal was signed on the occasion of the third anniversary of the initial signature (whose details you can find HERE), for a duration of three more years.

The FAO and the African Union (AU) with the support of CEMA have developed a Framework for Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization for Africa (SAMA).

SAMA was launched on 5th October 2018 during an event taking place in the framework of the 26th COAG (Committee on Agriculture) Meeting, in the presence of both AU and CEMA.

Mr. Marco Pezzini from FederUnacoma represented CEMA at the event and presented the involvement of CEMA and CEMA member companies in Sustainable Mechanization of Agriculture activities aimed at ensuring that countries and their communities achieve better levels of food security.
