Representatives of 16 national associations making up CLIMMAR,  the international distributors of Agricultural Machinery in Europe, met in Prague in early October for their annual congress. CEMA was invited to contribute to the debates, giving Secretary General Jerome Bandry an opportunity to profile our industry and share the European manufacturers perspective on a number of challenges.

Mr Bandry notably addressed long term structural challenges - such as a declining and aging customer base, the slow uptake of innovation, as well as ongoing consolidation in the full agri-chain – before stressing the needed developments to leverage the opportunities of smart farming technologies in Europe, the specific concerns for manufacturers around Brexit, and the massive challenges ahead to successfully modernize the Common Agriculture Policy.

CLIMMAR members also shared dedicated country reports.
