In the exchange, important decisions were taken
The INNOSETA project held its 5th Annual Meeting on 29 April 2020 in a virtual format. Initially planned as a face to face meeting in Barcelona, it was replaced by a dynamic online format, alternating plenary presentations with lively discussions and chat-based questions & answers sessions. Around 40 participants joined the event. Partners shared their expectations, concerns and practical information on good practices, particularly considering extraordinary situation Europe is facing related to the Covid-19 pandemic and evaluating its potential impact on INNOSETA’s ongoing and future activities.
The Covid-19 pandemic brought about extreme difficulties in accomplishing all the compromises and tasks established in the INNOSETA Grant Agreement, and a number of activities, partners and countries were heavily affected. For this reason, the INNOSETA General Assembly agreed to officially request a 6-months extension of the project. This means that the proposed end of the project will be re-scheduled from 30 April 2021 to 31 October 2021. This alternative final date, together with the reorganization of the affected activities, should allow a full accomplishment of the set objectives and milestones. If the uncontrollable situation due to Covid-19 remains in six months’ time, the global situation of the project will be reevaluated. These changes will not affect the initially assigned budget and its distribution among the partners. The decision of the European Commission/REA on this request is still pending.
Despite all the difficulties, the project continues to carry on with its activities, particularly with those related to INNOSETA Platform, a freely accessible repository providing a quick glance and insight into the spraying innovations available at the European level. To date, already over 800 records (industry solutions, projects, training material and articles) are included in the platform and the content is growing each day. The content of the INNOSETA Platform is available in 8 languages (English, French, Spanish, Italian, Greek, Polish, Dutch and Swedish)! Feel free to check it out (https://platform.innoseta.eu/)!
