CAP transitional regulation: CEMA strongly welcomes the informal deal reached by European Institutions

EU farm subsidies and rural development funding must continue uninterrupted and Covid-19 recovery support must be distributed swiftly

CEMA strongly welcomes the deal reached on Friday 27/11 between negotiators of the European Parliament (see here), the Council of the European Union (see here) and the European Commission (see here) to extend current CAP rules until the end of 2022 and disperse the extra €8.07 billion of the European recovery instrument to European farmers.

We call on the negotiated text to be adopted as soon as possible, to support continued investment in advanced agricultural machinery and solutions for sustainable farming.
